Here is a simple bookish garland to enhance your book display shelves, bookcases, mantles, or wherever your little book-loving heart desires. And the best part is that it is SUPER SIMPLE.
In this post, I will use the small ghost and snowflake patterns as my example, but remember this same idea can be applied to much larger and longer garlands as well as any cut into any shape.

Supplies List
- Old book
- Twine or string
- Mini clothespins
- Paper
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Black Marker (if making a ghost)
For the “old book”, you can use one you do not care about at home OR grab one at a thrift store.
I was able to get a roll of twine and the mini clothespins at our local DollarTree
Steps to Make Bookish Garland

Step 1: Make a pattern with your pencil and paper.
Step 2: Using that pattern, trace the shape in your old book.
Step 3: Cut out shapes. Draw eyes with your black marker if making ghosts. Cut snowflake details if applicable.

Step 4: Using mini clothespins, string shapes along twine or string.
Step 5: Hang & Enjoy!

I hope you LOVE your bookish garland!
