Basic Story Line:

My Lucky Day opens with a hungry fox preparing to hunt, when suddenly lunch shows up at his front door, in the form of a little pig.

Fox snatches up piglet and rushes him into the kitchen, but before piglet can be turned into pig roast, he persuades fox to give him a bath.

After the bath, fox is back to preparing his pig feast. Once again piglet persuades him to hold off. This time to “fatten [him] up to get more meat.”

Fox is determined to eat piglet. Piglet has other plans.

What I Like About My Lucky Day

My Lucky Day has good pacing and fun dialog. Piglet and fox are characters with lovable personalities. After a few pages, you won’t be able to put the book down until you find out if this cute little piglet is going to get away.

Keiko Kasza’s illustrations are as imaginative as her story. I have read this book dozens of times and it never fails to leave me with a smile.

Grab a copy of My Lucky Day, find a cute kiddo to snuggle, and enjoy diving into Piglet and Fox’s surprising encounter together.
